This course is designed for Mechanical (HVAC), Electrical & Plumbing Engineers. It will introduce the concept of Building Information Modeling (BIM) & cover various aspects of designing a mechanical, electrical & plumbing system.

Menu Structure
Creating Levels
Loading & Working with components
Creating Sections, elevations, views
Importing & exporting dwg , dgn, images dwf.
Concept of reference planes.
Mechanical:
Starting with templates
Preparing Mechanical Design
Room Color fills
Creating Zoning
Adding HVAC Equipments
Sizing Ductwork Systems
Annotating the Mechanical System
Plumbing:
Creating Plumbing views
Plumbing Setting
Creating layout
Creating Fixture, Pipe Schedules etc.
Annotating the plumbing System
Electrical:
Creating Electrical Views
Adding Devices and Panels
Adding wiring
Load checking equipments
Annotating electrical views

Objective :

The primary objective is to teach the concept of Building Information Modeling & 3D design tools to Mechanical, Plumbing & Electrical Engineers. On completion of the course, Students will be able to produce their MEP designs from calculations, creative views, annotation, 3D, Creating Sheets, completely in the Revit platform.

Prerequisite : 

No previous CAD experience is necessary. MEP design & drafting experience is recommended. MS Windows working knowledge is also required.
